What this site collects, why, where it is kept and for how long. Last updated on 26 October 2026.
Who is responsible
I am: Alli Araghi, a freelance software architect in Greater Copenhagen, Denmark. For anything on this page, write to contact@araghi.eu.
No cookies from this site
This site sets no cookies and loads no advertising or tracking from other companies. Your browser keeps two small things for the site itself: whether you chose the light or dark theme, and a random visit id that is gone when you close the tab. The booking calendar is the one part that comes from another company; see "Booking a call" below.
Visit statistics
To learn which pages help visitors, the site records the page you open, the text of the links and buttons you click, how long you stay, the page you came from, the random visit id, whether you use a phone or a computer, the operating system, and a country guessed from your browser's language. It does not record your IP address, so I cannot tell who you are. The statistics stay on my own server, and I delete them after 12 months.
Legal basis: my legitimate interest in knowing which pages work (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).
The contact form
When you send a message, the site stores your name, your email address, your company if you give one, the topic, your message, the time and your IP address. The IP address is there to catch spam and abuse. The message is also sent to my mailbox. I use it only to answer you and follow up on what you asked, and I delete it after 12 months, or sooner if you ask.
To slow down spam, the server also notes your IP address and the time of each message for one hour, then deletes it.
Legal basis: the steps you ask for before we might work together (article 6(1)(b)), and my legitimate interest in keeping spam out (article 6(1)(f)).
Booking a call
The booking calendar comes from Cal.com, Inc. in the USA. It loads when it comes into view on the Book page or near the end of the home page. What you enter there, such as your name, email and a note, goes to Cal.com and to me, and the call runs on Cal Video, which Cal.com provides. Cal.com's privacy policy covers that part. If you would rather not use Cal.com, send a message or an email instead.
Legal basis: the steps you ask for before we might work together (article 6(1)(b)).
Where your data is kept
The website, its data and my email are hosted by providers in the EU, who work only on my instructions. Like any web server, mine keeps access logs with your IP address, the time, the page asked for and your browser, for security and to fix faults. These logs are deleted after 14 days. I do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to have its use limited, or to object to it. You can also ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Write to contact@araghi.eu and I will answer within a month. If you think I handle your data wrongly, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Danish Data Protection Agency, at datatilsynet.dk.
Changes
When something here changes, I update this page and the date at the top.
